My main research focus is on the ecology of mosquito-borne viral diseases, such as dengue, chikungunya or West Nile, integrating disease ecology, medical entomology, and global health within a One Health framework. With over 20 years of international experience in temperate and tropical areas, my work aims to understand how environmental change, biodiversity, and human activities shape vector–host interactions, transmission dynamics, and the economic and public health impacts of arboviruses. I combine field studies, ecological networks, quantitative modeling, and interdisciplinary approaches to improve surveillance, risk assessment, and integrated vector control strategies, with the ultimate goal of generating evidence-based tools to inform public health policies and decision-making at national and international levels.
